Situated in a milkwood forest on large grounds, the Beach House has an incredible view of the coastline and Dolphin’s Point.
From Cape Town: Take 1st road right after descending Kaaiman’s River Pass. Keep right. From Port Elizabeth: Cross Touws River. 2nd left. Drive parallel to the N2.
Sheltering in a grove of ancient milkwood trees a mere 100m above the 27km long Wilderness Beach, the Beach House is wickedly positioned.
Begin the day with a tree-shaded breakfast then lope off along the beach or into the lakeside nature reserve, rent a canoe and explore the rivers, go cycling, scramble-jump the kloofs, get a bird’s eye view on a tandem paraglider, take a surf lesson, or simply flop onto the shining beach sands and meditate on wave song in the sunshine.
If you’re too lazy to roll down to the beach, simply raise your eyelids and revel in the mesmerising ocean views from the bar and terrace.
Whether The Beach House becomes a haven for weary bones or a springboard for mad adventuring is entirely up to you. Either way, top it all off with a delicious massage right here, then grab a homemade wood-fired pizza and head back to the terrace, ’cos man, that view…
