This jewel of a village, cut off from the outside world by forests, rivers and the ocean was only accessible to 4x4s and intrepid hikers but now has a road accessible to all.

Take a beach horse ride to the beautiful Xhora River where you can canoe upstream to the forested cliffs. Or jump onto a tube with a cold beer and let a river of kamikaze jumping fish float you home through a lush kingfisher-bright forest. As the sun sets, stroll to the mud-hut shebeen* to share a pot of Jabulani (happiness) beer.
