This Addo backpackers is situated outside Port Elizabeth and close to the Addo National Park.
From N2: Take R335/Addo Park turn-off. 45km. On right.
On the border of the Addo Elephant Park and only 8km from the main gate, The Orange Elephant makes a great base camp for all your Addo adventures. It has a restaurant pub that serves awesome pizzas and home-grown organic veggies, an eco shower block and garden showers, a kitchen and big screen DSTV.
Meet the local rangers at the pub and get the inside story over a cold beer and pizza, then stoke up the firepit in the garden and count planets as the night disappears into a starry silence.
Take one of their guided tours through the Addo Elephant Park or book one of their special packages and rescue snakes, cuddle lion cubs and stroke a cheetah.
