A backpackers on Ansteys beach

Run by the friendly Palmboom family and staff, Ansteys is close to the city, a stone’s throw from the Bluff’s main beach and a short walk from the world famous Cave Rock break.

It’s a winning recipe: a blissfully warm ocean, consistently good surf, protected beaches, interesting rock pools at low tide and a comfy bed to get back to after a day on the beach. Add a warm welcome, great atmosphere and accommodation to suit all budgets and it adds up to a groovy and laid-back holiday. It’s hardly surprising that guests often stay longer than they had intended, or come back time and again.

Durbs, uShaka Marine World, ICC and sports stadiums are a quick 15 kilometre drive away.

Heidi’s Cafe. This onsite cafe serves delicious breakfasts, home-baked treats and good filter coffee – try the Bluff Brew.
