• Game Parks

Africa is a wild continent and Southern Africa has fought hard to save her wildlife. A multitude of game parks pepper the area ranging from the impossibly exclusive to the downright affordable. A trip to the Kruger National Park is well worth while – although it is by no means the only game park worth visiting. This icon tells you that you're within game park visiting distance.
  • Hiking Drakensberg

With Southern Africa’s abundant natural magnificence, hikers will be in their element. Trails range from short to long, easy to almost impossible, and beautiful to breath-takingly-mind-boggling. This icon points to great hiking areas.
  • Nature in South Africa

There is lots of it. And most of it is protected so there are huge tracts of unspoilt loveliness that will have any nature lover coming back for more. This icon indicates naturally beautiful areas away from any major civilisation.

Sleep in a tree house surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Yay! No pitching tents or packing up - maximum bush time!

Viva offers two amazing safaris, with pretty much everything your bush-loving heart could desire.
The safaris begin with a pick up from your hostel or OR Tambo Airport and a transfer to Balule Game Reserve, home to the Big Five. Here, a 3-hour sunset game drive gives you your first taste of the wild.
Enjoy a full day in the Kruger Park in an open-sided vehicle, driving through a part of the park that teems with giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and impala, all of which are toothsome snacks for lions and other predators.
The last day begins with a sunrise bush walk into the wild to track wild animals. After breakfast, a scenic drive to the Blyde River Canyon and Three Rondavels ends your 3-day safari.
The 4-day safari? All the same - just add on an exhilarating 4-hour walk at sunrise to track the Big Five (with an armed ranger to keep you safe) and an afternoon game drive in Balule.
Both prices include the transfer back to Johannesburg, and all accommodation includes beds and bedding, fans, lights and mozzie nets.
